This year’s Gen Con was a massive success for Stronghold Games as five new titles premiered at the show. City of Spies: Estoril 1942, Terraforming Mars, The Dragon & Flagon, Kraftwagen – V6 Edition, and The Pursuit of Happiness all made their initial bows at Gen Con with the first three games selling out during the early hours of Thursday.
I had a chance to chat with Stronghold’s grand poobah, Stephen Buonocore, on a couple of occasions during the con (although we didn’t have a chance to get Stephen in front of our camera) and he indicated just Thursday alone beat the combined Stronghold Gen Con sales from any previous year. Personally I think much of it had to do with the great variety, and high anticipation, of the five new titles hitting as well as a phenomenal turnout of attendees for all four days of the show.
A big congrats to Stephen and the Stronghold team for the slew of goodies premiering, thus providing record Gen Con sales for the company and lots of gaming goodness for fans!
