Osprey Games to Release ‘Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell’ Board Game in June

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell Board Game (Osprey Games)Osprey Games announced this morning that they’ll be releasing a board game based on Suzanna Clarke’s modern classic fantasy book Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. Details of the game are pretty slim but the design team of Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello are hard at work on the two to four player title. We should see Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell: A Board Game of English Magic in June 2019 with an MSRP of $50.00 tentatively set.

Osprey Games is delighted to announce that we will be publishing Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell: A Board Game of English Magic, a new game set in the world of Susanna Clarke’s cult-classic novel, coming in June 2019.

Created by renowned designers Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello (War of the Ring, The Battle of the Five Armies) the game sees 2-4 players compete to become the most celebrated magician of the age, while building up the power to take on the gentleman with the thistledown hair.

First published in 2004, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell was a publishing phenomenon and has sold over one million copies to date. Longlisted for the Booker it was adapted into Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell Board Game Card (Osprey Games)the successful primetime BBC TV series starring Bertie Carvel and Eddie Marsan.

After centuries of absence, magic has returned to England, but not all are using it for good…Take on the role of an aspiring magician and start your journey down the path to greatness.
