Stronghold Games has announced that their latest release, Confusion: Espionage and Deception in the Cold War, is going to be slightly delayed as far as the preorder process.
From Stronghold:
We have some important news for those who are eagerly awaiting the opening of the preorder for “Confusion: Espionage and Deception in the Cold War“, which was to take place on April 30th.
The start of Confusion‘s preorder will be delayed until Saturday, May 7, 2011 at noon (EDT) while we await official confirmation that the game is ready to be loaded onto the boat en route to our warehouse.
While we don’t take moving the preorder date lightly, we also don’t take lightly our mission to only offer a game for preorder once it is ready for shipping to our warehouse. That way, our customers are preordering a real game with a real delivery date, and not some “hope-for-the-best” arrangement.
The extra delay isn’t the greatest news, but we do hope that our desire to treat our customers the way we’d want to be treated ourselves is clearly demonstrated.
But there is also some very good news here…
We are thrilled after seeing some production units of “Confusion: Espionage and Deception in the Cold War” that we flew in to the Gathering of Friends convention last week! The production quality has lived up to our high expectations (those who have been following our production of this game can attest to our pickiness!).
And the best news of all is that, from what we heard from those who tried the game at the Gathering of Friends, the game both looks and plays great!
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at noon. Remember, we have a limit of 500 preorders before we stop accepting them, so order early to avoid disappointment.
