I review the science fiction adventure game Judge Dredd: The Cursed Earth, loosely based on the classic 2000AD comic story arc, from Osprey Games. Plus the latest tabletop gaming news from Flyos Games, Samjoko Publishing, Cubicle 7 Entertainment, and more.

Note: I should have mentioned another way for the players to lose is to allow the villains to reach Max Normal before you do.

Summary
Judge Dredd: The Cursed Earth builds upon the success of The Lost Expedition with new wrinkles and random aspects to game play such as a variable end point, locations effects, and an additional status to worry about with your explorers: radiation poisoning. The game doesn't exactly follow the original comic story arc but is similar enough to please fans of Judge Dredd. I found the proceedings a little more challenging than the previous game, which is saying something, so don't expect to easily win regularly. I must admit I'm not a fan of about half the artwork on the cards, although it's from actual artists from the comic.
