25th Century Games has a cocktail-centric game arriving this summer. In On the Rocks, designed by Christina and Michael Pittre, players will compete as mixologists attempting to complete a trio of drink orders before last call. The game is for one to four players, ages 14+, plays in around 45 to 90 minutes, and will carry an MSRP of $44.99 when it arrives in July. Note – On the Rocks was slated for a Spring release but has experienced shipping delays.
About the game:
Welcome to “On The Rocks” cocktail lounge, where only the city’s best mixologist expertly prepares cocktails patrons are craving.
In On The Rocks, players select 3-4 drink orders for each of the three rounds. Players then roll the dice and draft that number of marbles from the shaker bag. They then place the marbles in the centralized mixing area jiggers one at a time clockwise, then select one bowl. They then place all ingredients on their player board based off the recipe cards. A tip card will be awarded to every drink completed during the game.
The first player to complete all three orders will call “Last Call”, triggering the endgame, with all players having one remaining chance to complete their final orders. Players add up their final score based off the drinks completed and tips earned, with an additional tip for completing all orders. Tip cards can be used in final scoring or spent for their ability to provide additional ingredients or affect other players.
