Heroes of the Gap

Heroes of the Gap Now Shipping!

Lock ‘n Load Publishing has announced Lock ‘n Load: Heroes of the Gap is now shipping! Heroes of the Gap, is a complete Lock ‘n Load module (you need nothing else to play), which brings the Lock ‘n Load system to the environs of Eisenbach, Germany on the first day of World War III. No, this is NOT a World at War series game, but it does take place in the universe created by World at War. This is pure, impulse-driven, tanks vs. tank, squad vs. squad, leader vs. leader, RPD vs. M60, Lock ‘n Load system gaming.

The Quick and the Dead: A Look at Heroes of the Gap from Lock ‘n Load

Let’s face it, there are a lot of us war-gamers who yearn for the good ole’ days of the Cold War. Back then there was a clear good guy and a clear bad guy in the world, and it all made more sense. After the fall of the Berlin Wall many of us still wondered, What would have happened if the “balloon went up” during the 1980’s and the Warsaw Pact attacked NATO or the bad guy attacked the good guy (depending on what side of the curtain you where on)?

The Magazine Rack: AtO 2010 Annual, LoF #9, and C3i #25

I have fond memories of popping into what might be the premiere location in Chicago to buy magazines, the Six Corners City News Stand located on Cicero near Irving Park Road. I’m pretty sure the place is still kicking although I’m sure that they don’t carry the same number of table top gaming related mags as they once did. Honestly, I don’t think there’s a single U.S. based mass market magazine still being sold so I wouldn’t be shocked if they didn’t carry any.
