Citing the reason as he is ill and “physically unable to travel,” comic legend Stan Lee has had to cancel his appearance at this weekend’s Amazing Arizona ComicCon, which kicks off tomorrow at the Phoenix Convention center. Here’s wishing from all of us at TGG Stan gets back on his feet as soon as possible! Mr. Lee underwent pacemaker surgery last fall and had to cancel appearances at that time as well.
The organizers of AACC have posted information regarding refund information, on the front page, for those who had already purchased tickets including photo ops or Stan Lee Packages.
There’s still plenty to do and see at the show and although Stan’s cancellation is a bummer you still owe it to yourself to check out the convention if you’re in the Valley of the Sun.

It’s really hard to believe that as a teenager, Stan Lee started writing text (due to postal regulations, comic books had to have a minimum of 2 pages of text material in order to quality for the lower priced periodical mailing rate) for Timely Comics back in 1941.
It’s just amazing to think of someone being in the business for over 7 decades – Stan is a true living legend.
Best of luck to him with this latest round of health concerns…
