Legendary Author Terry Brooks Named Gen Con 2015 Guest of Honor

It’s been announced legendary Shannara scribe Terry Brooks will be the author guest of honor at this year’s Gen Con. You have to say that’s pretty cool as I’m pleased to see someone who no doubt has inspired legions of fantasy gamers to take to the table top make his way to the best four days of gaming!

Gen Con has reached an agreement with famed author Terry Brooks to attend Gen Con 2015 as the Author Guest of Honor. Terry Brooks has written 23 New York Times bestsellers and has more than 21 million copies of his books in print. He is one of the best-selling fantasy writers alive. His books include the upcoming Shannara novel The Darkling Child, The Genesis of Shannara novels, Armageddon’s Children and The Elves of Cintra; The Sword of Shannara; the Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy.

A television series from MTV based on his Shannara books is scheduled to release later this year.

As a Guest of Honor, Terry will host and participate in seminars and workshops through our Writer’s Symposium program while at Gen Con. He also will host several book signings near the Authors’ Avenue area in the Exhibit Hall.
