Katniss Everdeen to be a Barbie

Ken better be watching his back as this August the character of Katniss Everdeen makes a transition from heroine of The Hunger Games film to Barbie doll from Mattel. The doll’s designer, Bill Greening, told Entertainment Weekly, “Hopefully Hunger Games fans can appreciate the attention to detail. The doll’s minimalistic style and details — such as her loosely braided hair and makeup-free look — also really embody the heroic character Katniss.”

The Katniss doll wears a hooded jacket, top, and military-style pants inspired by the costume from the film. Included are bow, arrows, and quiver. Completing her look is the iconic mockingjay pin.

MSRP on the doll should be around $29.95.
