I share my review of the new Amazing Adventures second edition Player’s Handbook from Troll Lord Games. The volume promises players and game masters a multi-genre roleplaying experience. Will the Player’s Handbook take on a multitude of genres in a single book? You’ll find out.
SUMMARY
While I do like the Amazing Adventures 2E Player's Handbook, I wish I liked it quite a lot more. I'm surprised that Troll Lord Games didn't take a truly multi-genre or generic approach to what essentially is the core rule book. There's still a ton devoted to two-fisted pulp adventure and not much devoted to other genres which are represented by artwork throughout. Still a solid buy if you want to use the SEIGE engine mechanics for something other than fantasy roleplaying.
