Amethyst (5E) RPG Kickstarter Clears Funding Goal in First 90 Minutes

The Amethyst for 5E Kickstarter launched earlier today and easily funded in the first hour and a half for Dias Ex Machina Games. The setting is a very unique fantasy/science fiction mash up and the project will finance the third volume in the series. There are a variety of pledge levels but you can score the new Revelations in PDF for a $19.00 pledge and in hardcover (with PDF) for a $61.00 pledge. You can also score the trio of sourcebooks digitally for a $58.00 pledge or the physical books for a $169.00 pledge through September 29th. The project funded in its first 90 minutes and expected delivery on the digital editions is December of next year with the physical releases to follow in 2024.

About the project:

Amethyst is a Role Playing Game presenting a world where a true-to-book fantasy setting is forced upon our real world.  How would humanity respond?  This is not some stylized view of Earth seen in books and on TV.  It’s a world with all the problems, both social and political, intact.  

Five hundred years after magic’s return, the remnants of our technological heritage live in the few remaining bastions—cities like ones of present day, but walled in against the encroaching magic surrounding it.

Will mankind be able to retake the planet and push the fantasy back into the realms of our imagination, able to resume our bind passion for consumerism and industrialization?  Is this world better than the one mankind squandered?
