Brancalonia – Spaghetti Fantasy Bestiary and Gazeteer for 5E Kickstarter Passes 200% Kickstarter Funding in Moments

Earlier today, Acheron Games launched a Kickstarter for a trio of new books for the Brancalonia 5E setting. Up for crowdfunding is the The Spaghetti Fantasy Bestiary, The Bounty Kingdom Gazetteer, and Furious Lands and Other Dirty Jobs. The Kickstarter project passed the 200% funding mark in moments and you can reserve all three new volumes (with PDFs) for a pledge of approximately $160.00 or get the books digitally for a pledge of approximately $42.00 through September 29th. Estimated delivery is October 2024.

About the project:

The Spaghetti Fantasy Bestiary: 100 new monsters typical of Italian folklore, legends, myths and literature, of land, sea, sky and underground, divided by environments, types and regions. Featuring 25 new lair and territory maps, each with area-by-area descriptions, adventure hooks, rumors, and narrative elements categorized by play style. Unlike the classic Bestiaries for 5e, this volume will be much more in-depth in terms of lore. In fact, it will be divided into rich cards of 4 or 6 pages for each main monster, including a map and description of the lair, a card of the “minor” monsters that populate it, numerous adventure hooks, rumors and narrative elements divided by style of play ( action, mystery, horror, etc.). In addition, each main monster will have a special “Monsterchef Box”, i.e. a recipe for cooking monster meat and managing its side effects. It is therefore a “deluxe” bestiary in terms of storytelling. The artists of the volume are Lorenzo Nuti (lead artist of Brancalonia) and the superstar Justin Gerrard. All the material can be used with the other Brancalonia manuals, or imported into any of your game settings.

The Bounty Kingdom Gazetteer: 20 new cities, villas and fortresses that reproduce real Italian places, events, villages and landscapes in a fantastic key, divided by environments and regions. Each place in the Gazetteer has a general map and other views, diagrams and illustrations, area-by-area descriptions, adventure hooks, rumors and narrative elements divided by play style and ready to use. It also includes 10 new characteristic backgrounds, 3 new playable species, monsters and opponents typical of the cities and castles of the Kingdom. All the material can be used with the other Brancalonia manuals, or imported into any of your game settings.

Furious Lands and Other Dirty Jobs: it’s a color hardcover Collector Edition that contains an entire campaign inspired by Ariosto’s Orlando Furioso, plus a dozen short adventures among the most loved by players and never published in volume.
