This July Cryptozoic Entertainment will release SuperPAC: The Game, a satirical card game that recreates a Presidential election while poking fun at our current political system.
From Cryptozoic:
Days before the company’s first appearance at New York Toy Fair, Cryptozoic Entertainment, the premier developer of original and licensed games, today announced an all-new card game, SuperPAC: The Game. In this humorous take on the 2012 election, each player takes turns running for the office of President of the United States with the help of unlimited SuperPAC resources. Designed for players of all political interests and affiliations, SuperPAC: The Game is a fast and simple card game in which players fill the roles of political action committees and try to win issues for the candidates.
“The winner of SuperPAC isn’t the elected candidate or even the American people—it’s the SuperPAC that won the most issues,” said Scott Gaeta, chief operating officer for Cryptozoic.
Cryptozoic’s SuperPAC: The Game challenges each player to invent the best solution to a given issue each turn. Acting as a presidential candidate, one player picks the winning solution, awarding the issue card to that SuperPAC. From the seriously misguided to the attention-grabbing and absurd, the possible card combinations each round are countless, all poking fun at the current state of our political system.
Every crisis card presents the presidential candidate with hurdle he or she must overcome to win over the electorate. The SuperPACs must then offer solutions for the candidate, creating a combination of action, object and result cards. With hundreds of cards to choose from, you never know what will happen!
SuperPAC: The Game will be available in gaming and mass market stores in July for an MSRP of $30.00, just in time for players to join the political hilarity of the 2012 election season!
I’m not sure if Cryptozoic is a “premier” developer (premier developers don’t have to tell you in a press release they’re premier) but I am interested in taking a peek at SuperPAC…
