Coming soon from Cryptozoic Entertainment is a new party game for fans who dig word games like Apples to Apples. The new title, Word Whimsy,will allow two to seven players – ages 15 and up – to concoct titles and phrases to match with word cards as well as other cards which set the scene. Word Whimsy is set to release in March and will carry an MSRP of $29.99.
According to Cryptozoic’s Scott Gaeta, the game is “a cross between Apples to Apples and Dixit as far as play party pattern. It’s a little outrageous as far as content. The content is totally family friendly and PG, but it’s like anything when people get rolling…”

Word Whimsy is an easy to learn and quick to play social game that will have you and your friends laughing at the crazy ideas, creatures, and titles that each of you cook up. Every round there will be a prompt cards such as “Good Name for a Metal Band” or “Most Likely to Win in a Fight,” and each player will build an appropriate phrase or title out of the various zany word cards in their hand.
Word Whimsy comes with 320 game cards, counters, and seven card sleeves for player answers
