Almost a year ago, Fantasy Flight Games announced a line of painted miniatures for its highly successful Arkham Horror board game. The price indicated at the time ($13 for two figures) was much higher than gamers expected so, based upon their complaints, FFG decided to scrap the idea and find another way to bring the miniatures to market.
The new take on Arkham Horror miniatures debuted at Gen Con 2010, with 48 painted miniatures in the complete line, each priced individually at $4 US. While the price tag is lower than what was indicated in 2009, gamers won’t just be able to head down to their favorite store to pick them up. According to FFG the figures will not be available through normal distribution and retail chains due to the cost of manufacturing. Instead, gamers will need to order the miniatures directly through the Fantasy flight website once they’re available.
