Canadian publisher Tartan Grizzly Productions has announced Give it to the King, a casual “push your luck” style game designed by Francois Valentyne, which will release in late 2012/early 2013. Designed for two to four players, players roll dice to move their pawns along a palace corridor, hoping to be the first to reach the throne with an “important message.” Players may use their messages to interrupt or interfere with each others turn, adding a layer of strategy to this tongue-in-cheek game.
The game is meant to be a light experience for families, while still offering enough strategic play to act as a filler game for more experienced gamers.
Give it to the King looks to play in 30 minutes or so for players ages eight and up.
