Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game is Arriving in Stores

Steamforged Games has released the highly anticipated Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game. In the game, obviously based on the hit video game, players will take on the roles of hunters stalking wild machines across a post-apocalyptic landscape. The game is for one to four players, ages 12+, plays in around 60 to 90 minutes, and carries an MSRP of $99.95.

Enter a lush and post-apocalyptic world where machines roam wild, and take control of an aspiring hunter with a single goal: to make their name with the prestigious Hunters Lodge.

In this semi-cooperative board game for 1-4 players, work alongside your hunting party to track and defeat machines for glory. Discover and trade resources to upgrade your equipment. And level up your skills to prepare for the final hunt! Fellow hunters are your allies, but also your competition.

Assigned a dangerous quarry by the Hunter’s Lodge, players choose a tribe and class for their hunter and embark on an adventure through the wilds. A variety of machines and unexpected events lurk along the way, and awaiting them at the end of the trail is a lethal boss fight.

Combining innovative and dynamic game mechanisms with strategic deck building, Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game offers players a unique experience on each playthrough. Hunters can develop along several skill paths and purchase a wide variety of ammunition and equipment from merchants, as well as facing entirely different encounters each time.
