The special guests have been announced for this year’s Origins Game Fair and they happen to be Adrienne Wilkinson, Felicia Day, and Wil Wheaton – I don’t play favorites so I’m presenting the names in alphabetical order… Elliott and I will be doing our damnedest to score interviews with each of the trio so stay tuned to see if we can successfully pull that off! We’re going to be packing our running shoes for the con since we’ll only have two full days at the show, due to work constraints, and we want to provide even bigger and better coverage than we provided last year.
From Origins:
Our Special Guests: Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day and Adrienne Wilkinson! Some lucky attendees will get to actually play games with our guests in the upgraded play program!
Felicia Day
Felicia is an actress, writer and producer, most widely known for her work in web video and social media. She co-starred in Joss Whedon’s Emmy Award-winning Internet musical “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” which was voted the Best TV of 2008 by Time Magazine, Entertainment Weekly and People Magazine. She also can be seen in the web series “The Guild,” which she created, writes and stars in. “The Guild” has won numerous awards for Best Web Series including awards from YouTube, Yahoo and SXSW and, to date, has garnered over 100 million views web-wide. “The Guild” was sponsored by fans for season 1, then partnered with Xbox and Sprint to produce and release Seasons 2, 3 and 4 on the Xbox Marketplace as well as other Microsoft distribution platforms.
Her production company, Knights of Good, has several other properties in development, all focusing on scripted content made for the web, including the just announced, “Dragon Age: Redemption” with EA/Bioware. Felicia was the recipient of the Digital Luminary Award in 2010 from NATPE, and this summer is set to receive the nextMEDIA Outstanding Online Performance Award from the Banff New Media festival for her work in “The Guild.” She was also one of the 2011 keynote speakers at SXSWi.
Felicia has a formidable presence in social media, with a large Facebook Fan page, blog following and over 1.7 million Twitter followers.
Wil Wheaton
Wil Wheaton’s successful acting career began in 1986 with acclaimed roles in Stand By Me and Toy Soldiers. He continued to build his resume through his teen years as series regular ‘Wesley Crusher’ on Star Trek: The Next Generation and opposite Robin Williams in Flubber. But Wil is much more than just an actor; he’s an author, blogger, voice actor, widely-followed original Twitter user, and a champion of geek culture.
Wil currently splits his time between acting and writing. He currently recurs as Doctor Isaac Parrish on SyFy’s hit series Eureka, as computer hacker Chaos on TNT’s Leverage, and as a “delightfully evil version” of himself on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory. He has recently appeared as serial killer ‘Floyd Hansen’ on Criminal Minds, comic book publisher ‘Miles Sklar’ on NUMB3RS, as the voice of ‘Ted Kord, the Silver Age Blue Beetle,’ on Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and as Axis of Anarchy leader Fawkes in Felicia Day’s smash hit webseries “The Guild.”
An avid and passionate gamer, Wil gave the keynote address to the 2007 Penny Arcade Expo, and delivered the inagural keynote address to PAX East in 2010. He has been featured on the long-running Wizards of the Coast Dungeons and Dragons podcast as the Eladrin Avenger Aeofel, and provides voices for numerous videogames, including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption, Brutal Legend, Fallout: New Vegas, and DC Universe Online.
As an author, he’s published several acclaimed books, including: Just A Geek, Dancing Barefoot, The Happiest Days of Our Lives, and Memories of the Future Volume 1, a humorous and nostalgic episode guide of the first half of the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. All of his books grew out of Wil’s immensely popular, award-winning weblog, which he created at WIL WHEATON dot NET and currently maintains at WIL WHEATON dot NET: in Exile. While most celebrities are happy to let publicists design and maintain their websites, Wil took a decidedly different turn when he started blogging in 2001. He designed, coded, and maintained WWdN entirely on his own, until he “blew up” his sites’ database in 2005 and moved his blog to the TypePad service. In 2003, Forbes.com readers voted WWdN the “Best Celebrity Weblog.” Wil’s blog was chosen by C|Net for inclusion in their 100 most influential blogs, and is an “A” lister, according to Blogebrity.com. In the 2002 weblog awards (the bloggies) Wil won every category in which he was nominated, including “Weblog of the Year.” In 2007, Wil was nominated for a Lifetime Achievement Bloggie, alongside Internet powerhouses Slashdot and Fark. In the 2008 weblog awards, Wil was voted the “Best Celebrity Blogger,” and in 2009 Forbes named him the 14th most influential web celebrity. This is all amusing to Wil, who doesn’t think of himself as a celebrity, but is instead, “just this guy, you know?”
Adrienne Wilkinson
Adrienne Wilkinson is best known for her role of Livia/Eve, the sometimes warrior, sometimes saint, daughter of Xena on the popular TV series “Xena: Warrior Princess.” She started on television in an episode of “Sweet Valley High,” and moved on to “Saved by the Bell: The New Class,” “Chicken Soup for the Soul,” and had several guest appearances on MTV’s show “Undressed.” She starred as Nikki on the US version of the dramedy series, “As If.” She has appeared in guest spots on the series “Angel,” as a cheeky flapper from the 1920s; as Linda Browning in NBC’s popular soap opera “Days of Our Lives;” ‘Phoebe in disguise’ on the eighth season of the WB show “Charmed;” Melody on the ABC show “Eyes;” and was the love interest of Dr. Ray Barnett on the hit NBC drama “ER,” where the plot of a spectacular building collapse nearly killed her character.

She stars as the voice and on camera likeness of female Jedi Maris Brood in the “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” video games and can be heard as a new character on season 3 of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” on The Cartoon Network.
