About the book:
The second year of Populated Hexes Monthly compiles Issues 13-24 into a single volume and replaces all of the stock art used in the original issues with fully commissioned art. Written for Old School Essentials, but easily adapted to any old-school fantasy rpg, this volume contains the following:
• Ten adventure locations, complete with mini-dungeons, set in a variety of terrain, from desert to magically devastated wasteslands to forests to hills to tropical islands.
• Rules for waterborne adventures: customizing vessels, crewing ships, disasters at sea, and two naval mass combat systems, one for vessel on vessel where each PC can take on a shipboard role, and one for mass combat to simulate large-scale naval engagements.
• New spells, monsters, and magical items.
• New classses: the necromancer, a fey-themed dwarf, ironskin craftpriest, parrot-folk, and turtle-folk.
• Rules for incorporating prestige classes into old-school games.
