Clever Mojo Games has a new deck building game in the works entitled Princes of the Dragon Throne.
Here’s the latest from Clever Mojo:
The Kingdom of Loen is vast. Its duchies and counties are populated by humans, elves, dwarves, and trolls but they are all ruled by the dragons. In times past, Loen was a peaceful land but for the last one hundred years a despotic beast has lorded over the kingdom from the Dragon Throne and no one is safe. As a Dragon Prince–one of the Dragon King’s many overlooked offspring–you have decided that it’s time for a change. Can you raise the funds to bribe the dragon clans to join your coup, and the food to keep them? Can your strength convince the people of Loen to risk their lives for a chance at a better future? Your siblings have dynastic plans of their own, and when the Dragon King hears about your treachery he’ll try to crush your little rebellion. There will be many obstacles to surmount in your quest to claim the Dragon Throne.
Princes of the Dragon Throne is a deck building game for 2 to 4 players where each player assumes the role of a Dragon Prince forming a coalition of dragons and commoners to overthrow the tyrannical Dragon King. Players select cards from a common pool of continually changing opportunities to build a unique deck of rebels to go against the King. Along the way players manage resources to support their uprising and use their agents to actively work against the plans of the other Princes. When the game reaches a trigger point the King will launch an attack to crush all of the rebellious Princes. If more than one Prince defeats the King’s forces then the surviving Princes must battle each other to determine who will sit upon the Dragon Throne.
Clever Mojo Games has contracted with Don Aguillo, an amazing talent with card game art experience, to create 116 new original artworks for Princes of the Dragon Throne and our novel card design format will highlight Don’s art in a bold and beautiful manner.
