Shadow of the Weird Wizard (Schwalb Entertainment)Schwalb Entertainment and their new Shadow of the Weird Wizard Kickstarter are rocking out. Built upon the popular, yet mature themed Shadow of the Demon Lord, this new family friendlier take on fantasy roleplaying is getting plenty of attention. The project has easily rocked past the 300% funding mark and you can reserve a copy of both the Shadows of the Weird Wizard and Secrets of the Weird Wizard books digitally for a $49.99 pledge or grab the physical releases for a $99.00 pledge through September 7. These pledges include other stretch goals and goodies as well. Expected delivery is next August.

About the project:

SHADOW OF THE WEIRD WIZARD is a fantasy roleplaying game in which you and your friends assume the roles of characters who explore the borderlands and make them safe for the refugees escaping the doom that has befallen the old country. Unsafe are these lands: the Weird Wizard released monsters to roam the countryside, cruel faeries haunt the shadows, undead drag themselves free from their tombs, and old, ancient evils stir once more. If the displaced people would rebuild their lives, they need heroes to protect them.

Created by one of the designers behind the 5th Edition of Dungeons & Dragons, Shadow of the Weird Wizard stands as the next evolutionary step of the game system that powers Shadow of the Demon Lord. Like its predecessor, Weird Wizard offers exciting adventures, tight campaigns, streamlined rules, and deep customization that reveals itself as you play the game. Best of all, anyone familiar with d20-style roleplaying games can find it easy to understand how the game works and plays, making it appealing to gamers of all ages and levels of experience.

The game has been designed, redesigned, playtested, and developed over a span of several years and is ready to move into the final editing phase. All that’s needed is the funds to pay for illustrations, editing, production, and printing. And that’s why we’re here, asking for your help.
