Neo Productions Unlimited has teamed up with Paizo Publishing to create a new Pathfinder campaign setting. In NPU’s Nate Peterson’s own words, Shadowglade is “a magic light post-post apocalyptic setting that borrows a lot from later European and even US mythology, Renaissance and colonial atmosphere, and has a good bit of supernatural horror, suspense, conspiracy theory, and other tense situations thrown in for good measure.”

Author Nate Petersen and Neo Productions Unlimited is thrilled to announce the release of their Pathfinder Campaign setting Shadowglade!
Shadowglade is a dark fantasy setting for the Pathfinder Role Playing Game set hundreds of years after an apocalyptic event ruined civilization and induced global near amnesia. The world has rebuilt, but many dark things lurk within the shadows of civilization.
“The fun thing about this campaign setting is the variety; its not traditional sword & sorcery. It borrows heavily from our own history and lore, particularly the Renaissance, Colonial America, and the westward expansions of the 1800′s.” Petersen said of the setting. “You can run a more traditional fantasy-styled game in the setting, but there are also a great deal of political matters and intrigue to settle between the nations and churches, you have a number of conspiracies and hidden agendas. You also have a lot of chances for pulp era exploration and adventure; the world has rebuilt, but on the lost ruins of its predecessor. Whole troves of treasure, knowledge, and lost understanding literally lies beneath the feet of the modern world!”
To help complement and enforce a more narrow focus of exploration and intrigue over typical hack & slash, Shadowglade is an E10 (Epic 10) campaign setting; gameplay is capped at the 10th level, keeping gameplay in the lower, gritter levels and leaving high-level threats a very real danger and making players and GMs explore more unusual avenues to tackle dangerous and deadly threats.
Shadowglade is currently available as a PDF release series of products available from RPGNow/DriveThruRPG and Paizo.com. The core setting materials are now available and additional support material, including adventures, new races and classes, and additional support material will become available in the next several weeks!
