Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 Eastern FrontThe follow up to one of my favorite strategy card games is now looking for funding on Kickstarter. Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 – Eastern Front, from our pal Byron at Collins Epic Wargames, moves the action to the Russian theater as the Nazis and Soviets continue the death struggle begun with Operation Barbarossa. The project runs through July 1st.

By all means check out our reviews for the previous Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 as well as the Spearpoint 1943 Village and Defensive Line Map Expansion.

From CEW:

Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 Eastern Front is a standalone fast-paced two-player tactical card wargame set in the Eastern Front of WWII in 1943.  Eastern Front is a new base set in the Spearpoint 1943 series, continuing the quick and brutal Spearpoint action with 175 brand new cards and all new scenarios.  Eastern Front introduces new Russian and German units, new Command and Damage Cards, and includes a helpful set of die-cut tracking counters.

All cards are compatible with Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943, adding new deck-construction options for players with both standalone sets.  Eastern Front is also compatible with our 2012 release, Spearpoint 1943 Village and Defensive Line Map Expansion, which takes the tactical rules even further by adding terrain, line of sight, and additional rules and scenarios.  The map expansion was nominated for a 2013 Origins Award in the “Best Historical Boardgame” category.

  1. Jeff, Thank you for the mention of our kickstarter project! We’re 20% funded at the moment- still a long hill to climb, but I’m confident we’ll get there!

    Best,
    Byron
