When you encounter an ancient, damaged vessel – a forested geodesic dome – it does not respond to hails and you detect no intelligent life readings. Upon investigation, you discover that the dying trees on the ship are sentient. They are desperately in need of rescue from a sentient species of time-accelerated insectoids that can only survive by eating the sap of the trees.
As you attempt to communicate with the two species, the stakes are raised when the ship changes course for Albali Prime, the home of a Bronze Age civilization. The trees believe Albali Prime is their ancient homeland.
