Steamforged Games have revealed a team up with Free League Publishing for a new encounter and miniatures series, Epic Encounters: Ruins of Symbaroum. Slated for a February 2025 release, the first two entries in the series have been announced – Epic Encounters: Ruins of Symbaroum – The Gem in the Barrow (MSRP of $59.99) and Epic Encounters: Ruins of Symbaroum – The Corrupted Coloss (MSRP $49.99).

Tabletop publishers Steamforged Games and Free League have joined forces to bring Free League’s award – winning dark fantasy roleplaying game, Symbaroum, to Steamforged’s highly – rated and 5e – compatible Epic Encounters series.
Steamforged has given Symbaroum the full Epic Encounters treatment, creating two brand new sets complete with detailed miniatures, maps, and encounters. Collectively titled Epic Encounters: Ruins of Symbaroum, the sets — Gem in the Barrow and Corrupted Coloss — combine the strange beau ty and gripping narratives of Symbaroum with the adventure – in – a – box convenience of Epic Encounters, creating an immersive and accessible roleplaying experience fans of either IP won’t want to miss.
Featured in Forbes as “Blue Apron for Dungeons & Dragons ”, Epic Encounters is a celebrated brand with over 20 sets already supplementing roleplaying campaigns around the world. The upcoming Symbaroum release marks Steamforged’s first ever collaboration for the Epic Encounters range.
The Symbaroum RPG, praised for its evocative setting and player – facing rules, launched in 2016 and is continuing to attract more and more players worldwide, not least since the release of the adaptation to the 5E ruleset, called Ruins of Symbaroum.
