I have – and have very much enjoyed – pre-release copies of Dawn of the Zeds and Keep up the Fire! Two more outstanding entries in the ‘States of Siege’ series.
My very limited exposure to the Call of Cthuhlu Living Card game found it to be somewhat deterministic and it was just OK; I hadn’t realized that it came out back in 2004. I love Lovecraft mythos, but much prefer to play The Lord of the Rings Living Card game.
I’ve been playing Space Infantry for a while now, and as you mention the rules were too loose and made it a bit of a head-scratcher to start – LnLP should have done a better development job here, especially for a game that had been downloadable for a year prior.
Still, I really enjoy it and replayability is fantastic. It’s a very cool solitaire game with all the options and theme that it offers (despite the lack of a background story). Recommended.
