We just barely squeaked in our second podcast for the month right under the gun before the calendar turned. This time around we’ll review Dominant Species: The Card Game from GMT, Wonderland from Zenescope Entertainment, Menzoberranzan: City of Intrigue for D&D from Wizards of the Coast, Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game from Fantasy Flight Games, and Andean Abyss also from GMT.
There’s the usual bit of craziness including our losing it over the nearly nonsensical press release for Robinson Crusoe from Portal Publishing…

Great(and hilarious) show as usual; movie trivia: Steven Weber was also in Hamburger Hill, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093137/
Thanks for the X-Wing review/discussion. I don’t think not having 3-D rules would detract from the game; I don’t remember having altitude rules in Star Fleet Battles, which is a ridiculously detailed tactical space game, in the end it would probably just add some bookkeeping without adding much to the tactical decisions.

Thanks Andy – we always have fun doing the show and that Portal game especially was sheer translation madness. Also, Hamburger Hill is an excellent war movie!
Yer killing me guys! I listen to you while walking to work. That Portal game thing had me walking along and laughing to myself like a complete lunatic! Anyways, thanks for another great show. Now I gotta find that X-Wing game.
Our listeners should realize by now outside of the reviews nothing we do on the show is scripted so that Robinson Crusoe news item came out of the blue for me. You can tell Elliott was in tears by the end of that item from laughing so hard.
