The BX Advanced Bestiary Volume 2 Passes 500% Kickstarter Funding Mark

Third Kingdom Games is Kickstarting the second volume of their BX Advanced Bestiary for OSR roleplaying games. This volume will include entries from the Efreeti to the Killer Bee. The project is over 500% funded and you can reserve a copy of the POD hardcover or softcover at cost for a $15.00 pledge or score just the PDF alone for a $10.00 pledge through April 10th. Expected delivery is this August.

About the project:

The BX Advanced Bestiary takes the monsters from the classic B/X role-playing game and expands them with options and variations. The book is statted for use with Old School Essentials, but can easily be adapted to other old-school style games. This book looks at each monster found in the OSE Classic Rules and expands them with options and variants: for example, the entry for Elemental adds two new sizes of elemental, special qualities that an elemental might have to spice up encounters, and then four new elemental subtypes: ice, magma, ooze, and smoke.

Right now the 2nd volume of this series covers classic monsters E-K (Efreeti through Killer Bee). The plan is to have the 3rd volume (likely L-P) in the fall of 2024, and the final volume this time next year.

The book is largely written, it just needs polishing and some minor tweaks to be sent to editing. This Kickstarter is to fund art and printing costs. My goal — which we achieved for Vol. 1 — is to have a piece of art for each new monster in the book.
