Welcome To Creature Companion: Shadowdark Edition.
In the spring of 2022, Appendix N Entertainment launched an ambitious project for Old-School Essentials. That project was the first iteration of Creature Companion. The work celebrated the artwork of Evlyn Moreau and was the first book published by Appendix N Entertainment to feature art by only one artist. Now we aim to bring a copy of this work to the excellent tabletop RPG, Shadowdark! Whatever is Creature Companion?
Creature Companion is a bestiary featuring 46 unique creatures, which include both lore and stat blocks, each based upon a work of art by Evlyn Moreau. Due to stretch goals in the original Kickstarter, this was over double the amount of creatures that were originally planned. The OSE edition of the book also received an appendix of deities, creatures which served each and spells bestowed upon the clerics of these beings, also all based upon Evlyn’s artwork. We aim to separate these books, and make this book of deities available for Shadowdark at a discount to backers as part of the stretch goals on this project.

Thanks for the press! For the record, at the time of this post we have hit at least one stretch goal and there are now 50 new monsters in the book!
