  1. Thanks Joel! I think it’s important to point out that the news show is going to have a bit of a different feel than the regular TGG podcast. As opposed to Elliott and I freewheeling it and kidding around, The Daily Dope is only going to have a single host there isn’t going to be that back and forth our listeners dig; outside of a relevant comment or two, this show will play it straight for the most part.

It is quite a bit different to be recording solo after spending so much time bouncing things off Elliott. Have no fear though, I’m sure Elliott will host an episode of The Daily Dope from time to time!

I’m not aware of anyone else presenting a weekday podcast covering the latest in the hobby (with an occasional semi-related story) so this is going to be an all new experience. I’m hoping we can pull it off!

    Good first episode Jeff.

There are so many new tidbits of news, it’s hard at times to keep up with it all. For example, I just learned today that GMT’s Sekigahara is now sold out, and ConSimPress will be releasing a new Frank Chadwick game based on the Beda Fomm system. And how did VPG’s January 1st sale go?

So The Daily Dope is most welcome to help us stay updated with the latest-and-greatest goings on in the hobby.

Good job on the first effort – the straighforward information presentation (in under 15 minutes) is just right.
