The board game Virtual Revolution, based on the indie cyberpunk film of the same name, is arriving next month from Studio H Games and Hachette Boardgames. In the game players will take the role of heads at multinational corporations competing for power and influence in a world overrun by virtual universes. Virtual Revolution is for two to four players, ages 14+, plays in around 90 minutes, and will carry an MSRP of $54.99 when it lands in stores on my birthday, October 24th.
About the game:
The cyberpunk setting of this game is based on the universe of the feature film Virtual Revolution, released in theaters in 2016 and directed by Guy-Roger Duvert, the designer of the game. A novel was also published as a prequel to the film.
As the head of a multinational corporation producing virtual universes, take control of Neo Paris and the verse market, after a merciless struggle against your competitors, each more corrupt than the last.
Expand your influence, set up your servers, develop verses, recruit agents, and let them get their hands dirty for you. But avoid attracting the attention of the Necromancers: these cyber terrorists, also known as Necros, will do anything to take you down. Will you manage to become the most influential corporation in Neo Paris?
