Wizards & Co. Nears 200% Kickstarter Funding

Sinister Fish is in the midst of a successful Kickstarter to fund a new fantasy game. In Wizards & Co., players take on the roles of mages aiming to lead their minions to ransack the dungeon of a deceased necromancer. The game is for two to four players, ages 14+, and plays in around 30 to 60 minutes. The project is currently nearing the 200% funding mark and you can reserve a copy of the game, including a Loot Drop expansion, for a pledge of approximately $32.00 through August 9th. Expected delivery is next May.

About the project:

Wizards & Co. is a competitive dungeon raiding game from the celebrated Italian design group Acchittocca, consisting of Virginio Gigli, Flaminia Brasini, Stefano Luperto, and Antonio Tinto. Together and in various combinations, they have designed such beloved games as Lorenzo il Magnifico, Grand Austria Hotel, Egizia, Alma Mater, Terramara, and many more!

The fabulous creature artwork is by industry legend Miguel Coimbra whose work you may know from 7 Wonders Duel, 7 Wonders, Cyclades, Small World and many more!

The high necromancer is dead. His dungeons lie unguarded, packed full with gems and artefacts ripe for plunder! There’s just one problem: the enchanted treasure vaults can only be breached by a wizard. A good job then, that you’re a wizard – a greedy wizard with time on your hands and no respect for the dead.

You need a crew to carry all the riches home, so you head to the Henchpersons & Minions Guild and go for the deal of the day: ten of the meanest beasts, bullies and brutes available. They may not smell so good, but they’ll get the job done.

However, you’re not the only gem grabbing spell-slinger with flexible morals and a sneaky strategy, for rival wizards have come to take the treasures that should be yours! It’s annoying that they hired the same gang of minions as you, but it was a great deal.

You and your adversaries are evenly matched, so you’ll need to deploy your underlings carefully. They’ll enter dungeons as you command, clashing with their rivals, battling for loot all while navigating the enchantments left by the necromancer. The artefacts you’ll find might swing things in your favour, allowing you to wield weapons of legend and summon horrifying monsters to fight for you – with the Steel Sentinel by your side, how can you fail!

Fight well & wisely, or just fight dirty. Either way, bring back as much loot as you can, because only one wizard can be victorious!
