Summary
There's plenty to love about this classic fantasy RPG. I especially like the fairy tale-ish feel to the proceedings, the spell system is cool and makes perfect sense, and many of the mechanics have a very modern feel unlike older 1970s RPGs. I do have a feeling those who are ingrained with a d20 resolution mechanic might have a hard time wrapping their heads around the system. Plus, I've got the impression higher level gameplay might not be as sharp as lower levels; not something unusual in RPGs though. I certainly recommend DT&T, even if you'd like to borrow some cool systems to port over to your game of choice.
