I break down what you’ll find in Haunted West, from Chris Spivey and Darker Hue Studios, and share my thoughts about adding it to your collection. The RPG provides a true story of the settling of the American west while also incorporating plenty of weird and supernatural elements. Is this a fantastic roleplaying game of the Weird West aimed at gamers of all stripes? Or does Haunted West, at nearly 800 pages, simply collapse under its own weight? You’ll find out!

Haunted West | Review and Page-Through

Haunted West is truly an impressive achievement and you can certainly tell a ton of research went into its creation. This is a fantastic tome absolutely overflowing with gaming material! I am a bit taken back by the four different ways which you can play Haunted West and I think all of that variety actually works against the game a little bit. I'd have liked the setting to have feature more creatures from native American lore and less aliens and steam punk but those are really minor quibbles. If you have any interest in a Weird West RPG setting (or truth be told, a historical American West setting) then Hunted West demands a place in your collection!
