I share my thoughts about the Player’s Guide for the Southlands setting from Kobold Press. Is this essential for players looking to take their 5E adventuring into the Southlands? Or could you easily take a pass on this player facing volume even if you are playing in the Southlands? You’ll find out!

There's plenty to like within the Southlands Player's Guide for those looking to run characters from the included races. Plus, you receive far more info about each new race and its culture than we tend to see from Wizards of the Coast these days. If your player aren't aiming to run characters for these races, I honestly don't think the book will hold a ton of appeal and the sourcebook really isn't an essential purchase for those running Southlands campaigns.
