The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Reviewed on The Gaming Gang Dispatch #933

There's plenty to like about The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying although if I were to run Tolkien adventures I'd go with The One Ring second edition. The book assumes the reader is well versed with 5E so this isn't aimed at those who are new to RPGs or D&D in particular. Obviously, if you're intimately familiar with the 5E mechanics then The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying is a no brainer. I can happily say this isn't just simply Middle-earth dropped into D&D but The One Ring 2E tweaked for the 5E mechanics. The production quality is top notch, as we expect from Free League Publishing.
