It wouldn’t be Halloween without one of our patented specials! The reviews are a bit light this time around but there’s plenty of spooky fun as we review A Touch of Evil from Flying Frog Productions and Three Kings and Heroes of the Sea for Achtung! Cthulhu by Modipius. Elliott shares a true ghost story while I provide a couple of my favorite old time radio shows (The Hitch-Hiker featuring Orson Welles on Suspense and The Thing on the Fourbleboard from Quiet, Please) to get everyone ready for some trick or treating!
Our theme music for this episode is Experiment in Terror from the great Henry Mancini. I’m sure many people will remember the music from their local Creature Features, which aired across the country in all different sorts of formats.

And don’t forget, The Gaming Gang podcast is on iTunes.

“Your three minutes are up” Thanks for the radio shows.
Thank you Andy! That sure is a good episode of Suspense with Orson Welles! Personally I really dig the Quiet, Please episode as you start to wonder just what has that roughneck been doing with that creature all these years? They are married after all… Yuck!
I’ve received a few emails from people who didn’t like my inclusion of the old time radio shows but I don’t sweat it because, in the end, TGG is our show. I know, as I’ve mentioned to folks who email me, we aren’t everyone’s bag of tricks.
I’ll bet we’re too opinionated, too silly, too quick to talk about a side note which has nothing to do with gaming, more concerned with how much fun a game is as opposed to how the components presented may be, not professionally sounding enough, and a great many other ways we just aren’t the gaming podcast folks wish.
I’m completely cool, and I won’t speak for Elliott but I’m nearly certain he’s cool, with the fact our show is what we want it to be as opposed to what others expect. We’re about having fun and we know we don’t knock it out of the park each and every time at the plate but we enjoy talking about gaming and I believe it comes though in all of our episodes. There are loads of alternatives online to what we do which are the same old same old every time and that’s good for those programs; that’s just not us.
Which is why I want to thank Andy and all our other listeners who get it and enjoy what we do just for the sake of the fact we’re doing it. 😉
