Tremendously popular, and far more willing to delve into the macabre on a regular basis than Escape or Suspense, The Mysterious Traveler ran on the Mutual Network from December 1943 until September of 1952. The series produced more than 400 episodes but sadly only 71 survive. In The Man the Insects Hated – originally airing on July 27th, 1947 – a scientist develops the perfect insecticide, Formula 397. The insects hate the bug killer but they hate the scientist even more on tonight’s The Gaming Gang October Spooktacular entry.
