Zozer Games has released the second edition of the sword & sorcery roleplaying game Clash of Steel. The dark fantasy RPG promises both traditional multiplayer gaming and solo adventuring. The 200 page softcover can be had for an MSRP of $18.70 or score the PDF at DriveThruRPG for $9.99.

About the game:

Clash of Steel is a dark fantasy rules set, for solo and table-top play, that evokes the grim sword and sorcery tales of Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock and Clark Ashton Smith. Magic is dangerous and dark, and corrupt and decadent empires struggle to retain their hold on vassal states and tribes. You play as anti-heroes, that are just as likely to rob travellers as to rescue them, they have a chequered past and seek out their own fortune or fame in a savage and uncaring world.

Each player takes on the role of a tough fighting adventurer, experienced, bloodied and ready for trouble, perhaps an ex-bandit or thief, a disgraced palace guardsman, or a tomb robber needing to get out of town fast.

Clash of Steel uses a fast-play 2D6 mechanic, and a simple opposed 2D6 roll for combat. It’s simple mechanics emulate the genre, with its rugged characters, fast-paced storylines and non-stop action.
