I dive on in in for a review of the slipcase set of Dungeon Crawl Classics: Dark Tower from Goodman Games. This is the seventh entry in the Original Adventures Reincarnated line. Inside you’ll find the celebratory volume featuring commentary and the original Dark Tower AD&D adventure from Jannell Jaquays, the DCC conversion and expansion of the adventure, and a book filled with more tales of the Chosen Sons of Set.

SUMMARY

Dark Tower is truly a classic adventure and this slipcase set brings the tale to a modern audience while expanding upon it with a Dungeon Crawl Classics conversion. There's literally years of gaming in these volumes. I would have liked to have seen a low level adventure or two to introduce the players to the setting and there's an unusual amount of content aimed at 5th and 6th level DCC Characters. Many of the NPCs feel light as far as motivation too. Regardless, this is still really well done.
