C2E2 Coming to Chicago Next Weekend

The weekend of April 13-15 will bring C2E2 to McCormick Place in Chicago.

The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo – also known as C2E2 – is a convention spanning the latest and greatest from the worlds of comics, movies, television, toys, anime, manga and video games. From a show floor packed with hundreds of exhibitors, to panels and autograph sessions giving fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators, to screening rooms featuring sneak peeks at films and television shows months before they hit either the big or small screen, C2E2 brings the best of popular culture to downtown Chicago!

Yours Truly, Elliott, will be in attendance next weekend. I’ll be getting a look at all the new trends in comics, video games, and even a board game or two as I know Cryptozoic will be there. It’s supposed to be the best Comic Convention in the Midwest, so I’m a bit surprised that mare board game companies are not taking advantage of it.

Some of the highlights that I’m looking forward to is meeting Josh Gates of Destination Truth fame. John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) will be there, as will Glenn (Steven Yuen) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) from the Walking Dead. Val Kilmer and John Cusack are surprisingly going to be there. Nicholas Brendon (Xander from Buffy) and Anthony Daniels (C3P0) are showing up too.

For you Paranormal State fans, Ryan Buell will be signing autographs. Plus there will be many comic writers and artists, Anne Rice (Vampire Novels), and Charlaine Harris (Southern Vampire Novels), and a lot more.

Unlike last year’s Wizard World Comic Convention in Chicago, both DC and Marvel will have booths at C2E2, as will most of the other publishers. Maybe I’ll even get a chance to play the live action Humans vs Zombies game that has swept college campuses in the past few years.

Hope to see you there, If you see me wandering around in my Gaming Gang shirt, stop by and say Hi!
