This Saturday, May 5th is Free Comic Book Day! What is Free Comic Book Day?
Free Comic Book Day is a single day – the first Saturday in May each year – when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE* to anyone who comes into their stores. *Check with your local shop for their participation and rules.
Every shop is different; some will give you several comics while others will only give you one. Of course, if you visit multiple shops you can pick up multiple comics!
Each publisher involved in FCBD publishes one or several special comics just for this occasion. You will get to pick from these special comics depending on what the comic shop you visit has to offer.
The FCBD comics are across many different genres of comics, so there should be something of interest to everyone.
Some of the titles in this FCBD are:
Avengers Age of Ultron Point One
Star Wars Serenity
Yo Gabba Gabba!
2000 AD Judge Dredd Special
Buffy: The Guild
Dinosaurs versus Aliens
Lady Death: The Beginning
My Favorite Martian!
The Smurfs
Spider-Man Season One
Witchblade: Unbalanced Pieces
Sonic the Hedgehog
Donald Duck Family
You can see all of the comics to be offered at this year’s Free Comic Book Day by visiting FREECOMICBOOKDAY.com
This is an international event; many comic shops across the world will be participating. There is a store locator at the website so that you can find a participating retailer in your area.
