If you’re a fan of stock market games you might just want to take a peek at Mars Needs Mechanics, currently running on Kickstarter, from Nevermore Games. There’s mention of SF, Steam Punk, a mission to Mars and all of that but by looking at the play through, it still comes across as a stock market game to my eyes. This isn’t saying it won’t be fun, simply that it just doesn’t appear as if the theme is heavily incorporated into the game… Yet, if you enjoy hand management and manipulating markets you should swing over to give a peek.

In Mars Needs Mechanics, players represent elite steam engineers competing for the prestigious appointment of Royal Astronautical Engineer aboard mankind’s first rocket to Mars.
Starting the game with only 30 cogs (currency), players will utilize unique game mechanisms that emphasize timing to collect sets of components and build incredible mechanisms aimed at earning even more cogs. At the end of the competition, the engineer with the most cogs will earn their place as Astronautical Engineer on the crew of the H.M.S. Victoria VII.
