Event Submission to Open Friday, January 11
If you missed the Event Organizer newsletter, check out this message from the Gen Con Events team:
It’s that time of the year again: Event Submission for Gen Con Indy 2013 opens on January 11, so start putting your event schedule together. If you have not submitted an event to Gen Con previously, why not make Gen Con Indy 2013 your event organization debut!
The submission form remains largely unchanged from 2012, so veteran event organizers should find no surprises. Gen Con has revised the Event Host Policy for 2013, and while it does not feature dramatic changes either, you should still check it again to verify the terms of running events at Gen Con Indy 2013. Remember: by submitting events, you confirm that you have read and understood the whole document.
Make sure to submit your events as early as possible – the early event submission deadline is February 8, and all events submitted during the early window will receive preferential placement. Events may continue to be submitted until March 15, 2013. Events submitted after the final submission deadline are considered late, and will be placed at Gen Con’s convenience and discretion. Only events submitted before the deadline are guaranteed to be listed in the 2013 Program Book or ready for the start of Event Registration on May 19, 2013.
If you have questions or concerns about the submission process or 2013 Event Host Policy revisions, please let the Events team know or visit the GM forum to discuss with your fellow event organizers. To get on the Event Organizer email list, please click here.
