On Tuesday, 28 December 2010, Victory Point Games is hosting a very special guest, game and playtest session for the interested public. Designer Luke Hughes will be at the VPG office in Orange County, California from 10AM through the afternoon showing off his new game, The World Will Hold Its Breath. It is something of a hybrid between a States of SiegeTM game and Totaler Kreig!, will be another VPG “monster” WWII game in the tradition of The Barbarossa Campaign, telling the huge story of the European Theater of Operations in a solitaire setting where the player commands the Axis forces. You must make key military, economic and political decisions for every phase of the war from blitzkrieg to the bunker as the game’s two “paper” opponents come at you from west and east. With a panoramic, grand strategic view of events, you will quickly see the causes and consequences of every decision, on every front, and through every campaign.
