The premiere date for the successfully crowdfunded Mystery Science Theater 3000 reboot has finally been revealed. An announcement made on the Netflix Facebook page indicates MSTies can now get pumped about the premiere taking place, on Netflix, this April 14th. Following a campaign which raised more than $5.7 million dollars, the new series will consist of fourteen episodes as well as a holiday special.
The new MST3K cast features host Jonah Ray, voice actors Hampton Yount (Crow T. Robot) and Baron Vaughn (Tom Servo) as well as a fresh take on the Mads played by Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt. Original creator Joel Hodgeson is still involved with writing contributions from Dan Harmon, Justin Roiland, Rob Schrab, Nell Scovell, Ernie Cline, Pat Rothfuss, Paul & Storm, Dana Gould and Robert Lopez.
