Netflix has confirmed the renewal of A Series of Unfortunate Events, for a second season, in a rather clever way. A YouTube video appeared yesterday directing viewers to visit the website, vastlyfrighteningdecision.com. Upon landing at the site we find the following letter, penned by Lemony Snicket…
This should be happy (dreadful?) news for fans of the series, as a recent report detailed A Series of Unfortunate Events actually outperformed both Luke Cage and the second season of Daredevil in total viewers according to Symphony Advanced Media. No mention is made of when we should see more of the trials and tribulations of the Baudelaire children but our guess is December 2017. The first season debuted in January and stars Neil Patrick Harris (Count Olaf), Malina Weissman (Violet), Louis Hynes (Klaus), Presley Smith (Sunny), Patrick Warburton (Lemony Snicket), Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), K. Todd Freeman (Mr. Arthur Poe), Aasif Mandvi (Uncle Monty), Alfre Woodard (Aunt Josephine), Catherine O’Hara (Dr. Georgina Orwell), and Don Johnson (Sir).
