Cataclysm: A Second World War Reviewed on The Daily Dope for September 19th, 2018

I review the global strategy game Cataclysm: A Second World War from GMT Games.  Plus news from Free League, Strategic Elite, Portal Games and more!

I have to point out this isn’t a overly detailed dive into the Cataclysm but more of a high level look at the title and how I really had trouble wrapping my head around some of the rules and special circumstances which take place. The review score is really aimed at hard core grognards and I talk about who the game is best suited for.

Summary

I have to say I had a really tough time with this review because I had a hard time coming to grips with some of the rules but could tell the problem actually lays with me rather than the design. Honestly, Cataclysm requires a bigger time investment than I have available but i think those looking for a chaotic and free wheeling sort of ahistorical WWII title should dig this.
