Anyone who has even an inkling of interest in the history of Dungeons & Dragons owe it to themselves to pick up Art & Arcana. The book is gorgeous and overflowing with not only artwork from various editions of D&D but also images of gaming materials, maps, advertisements, and more. Reading through A&A was such a blast from the past and I simply can't recommend this book highly enough!
