Dark Horse Comics, the largest independent American comic book and manga publisher, will be bringing Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy & Pan’s Labyrinth) and novelist Chuck Hogan (Prince of Thieves) vampire horror trilogy The Strain to life on Geek & Sundry.
The Strain:
When a Boeing 777 lands at JFK International Airport and goes dark on the runway, the Center for Disease Control, fearing a terrorist attack, calls in Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his team of expert biological-threat first responders. Only an elderly pawnbroker from Spanish Harlem suspects a darker purpose behind the event-an ancient threat intent on covering mankind in darkness.
Guillermo del Toro is a director, producer, screen writer, novelist and designer famous for his films Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth.
Chuck Hogan is an author best known for his novel Prince of Thieves: A Novel, a work which Ben Affleck’s Academy Award-nominated film The Tow is based.
The executive producers for Dark Horse Motion Comics are Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible, Eureka), Kim Evey (The Guild, Dragon Age: Redemption) and Sheri Bryant (Rock Jocks).
